This Golden Ticket provides one winning applicant, dedicated lab bench and office space for one year at BioLabs Hôtel-Dieu, and access to the AMGEN team of scientific and industry advisors.

Amgen is launching the “Golden Ticket” Call for Projects and invites startups in the life sciences, biotechnology, and digital health sectors to submit their applications.
These general terms and conditions apply to the Call for Projects.
The Call for Projects is open to any legally incorporated entity, recently created and/or in a development phase, whose objective is to design innovative solutions in the fields of life sciences or digital health.
Particular attention will be given to projects aligned with Amgen’s key therapeutic areas:
Cardiovascular diseases;
Oncology and hematology;
Rare diseases;
Inflammation;
Strong interest will also be given to startups leveraging emerging technologies to transform the discovery and development of new medicines, such as:
Artificial intelligence (“AI”) and machine learning platforms to accelerate R&D and support drug repurposing (Patient Impact Expansion – PIE);
AI-enabled discovery of new therapeutic targets using patient data (multi-omics, digital phenotyping, real-world data);
Modular drug design approaches enabling flexible and scalable therapeutic development.

Judging Criteria and Judges
The Committees will judge all Applications based on the following criteria:
Quality of the science and scientific rationale: soundness of the scientific reasoning and uniqueness of the proposed solution, including proof-of-concept data;
Strategic alignment with Amgen’s current therapeutic areas
Unmet need and development potential: problem definition, innovation fit, and competitive landscape;
Team execution capabilities: background of the founders, description of the composition of the participant’s team;
Motivation and fit: interest in joining BioLabs Hôtel-Dieu and potential benefit of the Golden Ticket.
